Judson Bible College (JBC), formerly known as Burmese Bible School (BBS) was founded in July of 2008. JBC is being registered as Judson Education Center, Inc. (JEC), which is a non-profit organization in the State of Maryland. JEC was initially operated as Burmese Bible School (BBS) from July 2008 through February 2013 in Syracuse, New York as a ministerial training for church planting and leadership development. BBS underwent name change on March 1, 2013 as JEC also known as Judson Bible College and Seminary named after Adoniram Judson, the first American missionary to Burma, who translated the Holy Bible into Burmese and composed an English-Burmese Dictionary for the people of Myanmar (Burma). JBC welcomes students from various denominations who desire to be trained bilingually in the areas of biblical knowledge, theological insights, intercultural studies, linguistic studies, spiritual growth, and ministerial education for cross-cultural ministries to their own people wherever they are located.
JBC is affiliated with Davis College, Seminary Extension, ACCESS and Teaching The Word Ministries. And, the courses taught for Diploma in Ministerial Studies at JBC are accepted by Davis College only if they hold High School Diploma. JBC students who have successfully completed their 2-year Diploma courses, are eligible to transfer their credit hours to Davis College and JBC Bachelor program as a third year students if they only manage to pass High School or equivalent education at the time. This means, transfer students will pursue another two-year Degree courses at Davis College for Bachelor Degree.
